A thoroughbred yiḏaki by Didiwarr Wunuŋmurra and his mother Djul’djul’ Gurruwiwi.
Straight forward and undiluted!
An easy to handle instrument with good backpressure.
It has that nice Arnhemland sound. A bit dirty but still a good mix of frequencies.
A perfect interval with the drone and trumpetsound.
The painting, by Djul’ djul’ is realy fine rarrk with ochres. And it depicts Guŋaluŋ. The blue-tongue lizard that is associated with Wititj’ the ancesteral rainbow serpent.
A yiḏaki for the real trad. lovers!
Since 2020, Michiel is compensating Co2 emmisions for all transport of his yiḏaki shipments.
