This instrument has an open bore which results in a easy to handle, lightweight instrument.
The overal acoutics on this yiḏaki a very well balanced.
A very clear sound with enough bass.
The toot is nice and round and easy to hit.

The painting, in natural ochres, depicts Wititj’ the ancestral Rainbow serpent. A strong totem of the Galpu clan.

This particular yiḏaki is suitable for both contemporary as well as traditional music.
