Marikuku Wirrpanda Dis - G

A beautiful open and clear instrument by Marikuku Wirrpanda.

Highs, mids and bass all come into their own.

Of course, the toot is easy to hit..

What is especially striking about this yidaki is the art work.

The design in ocher is beautifully executed. And the lower part is engraved.

The old yiḏaki djambatj D*tj*rr* Wunuŋmurra engraved many instruments with his wife for a while. I haven't actually seen this since.

So when I say a beautiful instrument, it certainly also refers to the 'looks'.
